Who this covers
Two kinds of people: contractors who use TradeSixty for their business, and homeowners and callers who speak with Alex, the AI phone assistant, on a contractor's behalf. Each contractor is a separate account. One contractor's data is never shown to another.
What we collect from callers
- What you typed into the contractor's web form: your name, phone number, the company you contacted, your email if you gave one, and the page you were on.
- The phone call with Alex: the audio recording, a written transcript, the answers you gave (for example what is wrong, your address, how urgent), and the appointment you booked.
- Text messages sent to you to confirm a booking, and any reply you send, including STOP.
Why
To call you back about the request you made, book the appointment, and give the contractor what they need to show up: your name, address, the problem and the time. Recordings and transcripts exist so the contractor can check what was said and so we can fix Alex when it gets something wrong. We do not sell this data and we do not use it for advertising.
Recording and the AI
Alex says it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded at the start of every call. If you do not want to be recorded, say so and Alex will end the call and the contractor will call you back in person.
How to opt out
Tell Alex on the call that you do not want to be contacted. Your number goes on the contractor's do-not-call list immediately. For texts, reply STOP. To have your recording deleted, email bl@blacklayers.ca with the number you called from.
Who else sees it
The contractor you contacted, through their private panel. The services that carry the call and process the speech (a telephone carrier, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and a language model provider) receive the audio and text needed to run the call, under contracts that stop them using it for anything else. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Recordings and transcripts: as long as the contractor's account is active, or until the contractor or you ask for deletion. Form details and bookings: as long as the contractor needs them for the job and their records. Do-not-call entries are kept so the opt-out keeps working.
Where it lives
On servers in North America, backed up daily, with access limited to the people who run the service.
Contractors' own data
Your account details, your billing information (handled by Stripe, we never see full card numbers), your script settings, and usage minutes. You can export your leads and ask us to delete your account at any time.
